Won the double gold medal of the 27th Brussels International Wine Competition in 2020

Ryder Lane Wine Group's Lane 5 and rare Cabernet Sauvignon won the gold medal of the 27th International Wine Grand Prix in Brussels, Belgium in 2020

Recently, from September 4 to 6, 2020 Czech time, the 27th Belgian Brussels International Wine Grand Prix (known as the "wine Oscar") was grandly held in Brno Exhibition Center in Moravia, Czech Republic.

The Brussels International Wine Grand Prix was established in 1994 and has extensive influence in the world wine industry. Each year, the Grand Prix will gather more than 6000 high-end wines from more than 40 countries around the world, with a jury composed of more than 300 authoritative wine experts. Since 2006, with the purpose of seeking high-quality wine and promoting wine culture around the world, the organizers of the competition began to go abroad, and then successively settled in Lisbon, Maastricht, Bordeaux, Wallace, Sicily, Luxembourg, Portugal and Slovak. Different from Paris agricultural competition and other events, it is the only wine Grand Prix held in different countries and cities. It is also one of the most authoritative international wine competitions in the world.

In this year's competition, more than 300 international judges conducted rigorous evaluation on 8500 wines from nearly 50 countries and regions. According to the category of wine, the competition divides the participating wine into 3-5 series: spirits, fruit wine, red wine, white wine and sparkling wine. In order to ensure fairness, in case of blind tasting, the judges are only informed of the year of production and know nothing about other information about the wine. The judges give a total score according to the color, aroma and taste of each wine or spirits. The competition adopts a 100 point system. In order to pursue a worldwide sense of identity, each wine item will be judged by no less than 6 judges from different countries. Due to different cultures and lifestyles, there are differences among the judges, and their opinions may be sharply opposed. However, under this diversified evaluation method, once the opinions of the judges converge, this wine may be what the competition is looking for, and may be a medal wine.

At the tasting site on the first day of 2020 Brussels International Wine Grand Prix, the seat spacing of judges was significantly opened to maintain social distance.

This year's Grand Prix was postponed due to the impact of the epidemic, and the global outbreak of the epidemic forced the postponement of the event originally planned to be held in May; However, after several months of adjustment and epidemic prevention and control preparations, the Grand Prix will finally be held from September 4 to 6, 2020. The International Organizing Committee has undergone intensive score statistics and proofreading. The participating samples of this year's China region cover eight major production areas, including the eastern foot of Helan, Ningxia, Shandong, Xinjiang, Hebei, Jilin, Beijing, Shaanxi and Yunnan. In the same period, the International Organizing Committee officially announced that it would award the right to host the 28th competition in 2021 to Yinchuan, Ningxia. The eastern foot of Helan Mountain in Ningxia is located at the 38th parallel of north latitude. It is recognized as the "golden zone" for grape planting in the world and the "national geographical indication product protection zone" in China. In the future, there will be more and more good Chinese wines going to the world in Ningxia.

According to the Grand Prix data, the number of participating samples in 2019 is more than 9150; It will be 8500 in 2020, with a decrease of less than 10%. The official list results of the Organizing Committee of the Brussels International Wine Grand Prix in Belgium were officially released globally at 10:00 Brussels time on September 11. The lane No. 5 organic dry red wine and lane rare Cabernet Sauvignon organic dry red wine of Ryder Lane wine group also won the Gold Award.
